My mom and I spent my spring break at Disney and wanted to do as many “hidden gem” activities as we could! We’ve been to Disney so many times, we wanted to find some things we’d never done before. One of those was going to see the Tangled and Peter Pan mosaics at Disney’s new Riviera Resort!
Not only did we get to see the mosaics, but we also took the skyliner for the first time to get there! We hopped on the skyliner in Epcot and rode it over to Riviera. Even though it was super windy out, the skyliner ride was surprisingly smooth. It was a quick way to get between different areas of Disney. I was concerned the lack of AC on them would make it stuffy and hot, but the ventilation system worked really well to keep it cool.

When you get to Riviera via the sky, the mosaics are in a breezeway shortly after you get off the skyliner so we didn’t have to look far at all.

The mosaics are stunning! They stretch from one side of the breezeway, across the ceiling, all the way to the other side. Since it’s a covered area, it’s perfect lighting for taking photos with the mosaics. You know me and Mom had a full-blown photoshoot!
You can check out my TikTok about our little adventure here (TikTok) to see the full mosaics in all their glory!

There was no one else taking pictures while we were there, though people did pass through every so often. I threw my mask back on anytime someone came through. However, Disney just announced you can now take photos without a mask on so no need to worry about that anymore!

We experimented with different angles and phone settings to get just the right picture. One thing I found helpful was to put my phone propped against my fanny pack on the fountain ledge in the middle of the breezeway and use the self-timer. That way, I could see myself and pose accordingly to make sure the photo looked exactly like I wanted it to.
After we felt like we’d gotten some perfect shots, we got back on the skyliner and headed over to Hollywood Studios for the rest of the day!
