As I’m sure you’re very aware if you follow me on any form of social media, I’ve been a Jadelynn Brooke college rep since my freshman year at UF – 8 whole semesters! Rep applications for both college and high school are now open and will close Tuesday 8/2 so I wanted to tell a little about what it’s like to be a Jadelynn Brooke rep for those who may be interested in applying themselves.

Jadelynn Brooke started their rep program in the fall of 2015 with only college reps and it just so happened to be my first year up at UF. I was in love with the brand so I applied the second the applications opened. I was over the moon when I got accepted to be a 2015 Fall Rep!

I’ve been a Jadelynn Brooke rep every semester since then, even going into grad school at USF Sarasota-Manatee and the program has grown so much since I started as a freshman. Now, there are two rep programs with Jadelynn Brooke – one for high school and one for college – and there are about 400 reps every semester.

Here’s the insider info on what being a Jadelynn Brooke rep is all about. I hope this encourages some of you to apply!

How do you apply?

Jadelynn Brooke posts the rep applications on their website. There are separate applications for high school and college. It’s a short questionnaire to fill out so the Jadelynn Brooke sisters can get to know you and see if you might be a good fit to represent their brand on your campus.

Do I have to have a certain number of Instagram followers?

Not at all! Jadelynn Brooke wants to see that you are a happy, passionate, involved person who will represent their brand well. The number of followers you have makes no impact on that!

How often do you have to post?

If you’re selected to be a Jadelynn Brooke rep, you’ll get a packet in the mail explaining all the requirements for that semester. These requirements change slightly each semester, but typically you have to post on Instagram stories and/or your Instagram feed once a week or once every other week. However, you can post more than that if you want!

Jadelynn Brooke looks for you to post photos that are good quality, bright, and natural. Just you sporting your JLB gear out and about. This was easy for me because I wear Jadelynn Brooke pretty much every day as it is!

Any other requirements?

The packet you receive also asks that you remain active with all their social media accounts for Jadelynn Brooke. This is just a natural interaction with their posts and following all their accounts – @jadelynnbrooke, @thingssheloves, @3happyhooligans, and @tinytinies. There’s no specific requirements where this is concerned, just liking and commenting on their posts as you desire.

You also have to list that you are a Jadelynn Brooke rep in your Instagram bio.

What are the perks?

The perks of being a Jadelynn Brooke rep are fabulous!! You get 3 rep packages a semester with all kinds of goodies in them from an assortment of their brands. While each rep box varies, you typically get 2-3 shirts or clothing items and some other happy things like stickers and 3 Happy Hooligans gifts.

You also get a personal rep code to use yourself and share with your friends and family. This code gets you 15% off every order from Jadelynn Brooke, which is a great discount! You can post your rep code in the caption when you post Jadelynn Brooke pictures so your followers can use it. There is no competition to see whose rep code is used the most. You actually don’t even know when your rep code is used.

There is also a Jadelynn Brooke rep photo contest every semester to win Jadelynn Brooke gift cards! While I’ve never won one of these contests, I love entering them. The photo contest is finding the most creative way to showcase one of the Jadelynn Brooke products you’re sent. For example, this past semester every rep was sent on of Jadelynn Brooke’s scarves to post a picture with. I decided to get creative and use it as a camera strap for my Polaroid camera!

I even got to help out with a new product launch this past semester! Jadelynn Brooke was releasing personalized squad goals shirts and messaged a few reps asking us to help. They sent us our own custom squad goals shirt before they were even announced online and used our photos on social media and their website to promote the launch! I used my squad goals shirt for my coworkers at Charley’s Boutique.

What’s the best part of being a Jadelynn Brooke rep?

While all the perks of being a Jadelynn Brooke rep are great, two things really stick out when it comes to being a rep. The first is the other reps! Every semester a group of reps will get together and make a group chat on Instagram where we all get to know one another and really help support each other. We swap photo tips, ask questions, or even just offer life advice if someone is struggling with something personal. It’s a great group of girls to have in your life.

The other best part is the interaction with the Jadelynn Brooke sisters. They really get to know you better when you’re a rep for them. Sometimes they’ll comment on your Jadelynn Brooke posts and interact with you in your DMs too. They get really personal with their reps and it’s a special feeling. I even got to meet them one time at a local boutique and they knew exactly who I was even though I had only been a rep one semester.

Any tips for being a great Jadelynn Brooke rep?

My biggest tip is to get a tripod for your phone with a bluetooth clicker! I ordered this one on Amazon for only $20 when I first started repping and I still use it today. It’s so nice to not have to bother someone to take Jadelynn Brooke pictures for you and to just be able to head to your backyard and snap some shots yourself.

Also, do little photoshoots when you get your rep boxes with everything in it. Grab your tripod and all the shirts from your package and find some neat spots in your neighborhood or around your house. Natural light is best! If you have a nice little stockpile of pictures, you’ll never be scrambling because you don’t have any photos to post.
