The change from 5 months until the wedding to 4 months until the wedding made everything seem so much more real! It seemed like the wedding was suddenly so much closer! If you haven’t already, make sure you check out my wedding planning posts from every other month of our engagement so far.

Invisible String
So Taylor Swift recently came out with her new album folklore and on that album there’s a song called invisible string. The song talks about how fate leads you to the person you’re supposed to be with when you don’t even realize it. Then looking back, you realize how each minute event in your life was pivotal or things wouldn’t have turned out the same way. This had me thinking about the crazy minute events that led to Jared and me meeting and if one thing had been different, we probably never would have met. So here’s the story of the invisible string tying us together.

Even though I was in the Keys for the first half of this month, we still checked a few things off our wedding to-do list! If you haven’t yet, check out my posts on wedding planning I did before we were even engaged, 9 months before the wedding, 8 months before the wedding, and 7 months before the wedding.
Continue reading7 Months ’til the Wedding
This month was pretty light on planning since a) I have most of the big stuff done and b) we went to the Keys mid-June for a monthlong vacation. Before we left, here is the wedding planning I got done with 7 months to go before the wedding!

2 months down, 7 to go – woohoo! If you haven’t already, check out the pre-planning I did before we were even engaged (lol) and the planning I did the month after we got engaged. Confessions of a Pageant Girl
When I think back on my 14 years doing pageants, I realized I have quite a few stories to tell for those looking to pull back the curtain on what pageantry is really like. Let me debunk a few rumors right away. Yes, we get spray tans. Yes, we use butt glue. Yes, we contour our abs for swimsuit. So, here’s my behind the scenes look at my time competing in pageants. 9 Months ’til the Wedding
With 9 months to go (and under a stay-at-home quarantine), I got as much done as I possibly could. I’d always wanted to have a year-and-a-half to plan a wedding, so I hit the ground running the second we got engaged. Here’s all I got accomplished in the first month of our engagement! Continue reading
Wedding Pre-Planning
As I’ve mentioned, I have been waiting to get engaged for about 2 years now. Given that, I had quite a bit of time to think about what kind of wedding I wanted, who I would invite, etc. I had a date (January 2, 2021) picked out about a year ago so every day I wasn’t engaged was less time I had to ultimately plan. I knew once that ring was on my finger I’d have to hit the ground running. So here’s what I’d planned before we even got engaged. Continue reading
Things To Do During Quarantine
This is definitely not a post I ever thought I’d be writing – yet here I am with ways to stay busy during this crazy quarantine. I’m the queen of staying busy. If I have any down time, I’m bored immediately and it drives me nuts. So clearly this quarantine is both a blessing and a curse. I have a ton of time to get things done, but I’m scared of the day that to-do list dwindles and I’m left with nothing else to do.
Jared’s Foray Into Pure Barre
I am an avid Pure Barre attendee. Fortunately, I have a partner who supports this addiction rather than groan about it when I wake up early on a Sunday morning to get my workout in. It’s not uncommon to hear him cheering, “Yes girl! You get those 250 classes!” as I leave the house to make it to barre by 8:30 a.m. However, one thing he was never expecting to do is lift, tone, burn alongside me at barre. Yet that is exactly how we spent our Valentine’s Day! Continue reading
